Paul Kent, General Manager for IDG World Expo:
IDG World Expo announced this morning that Macworld/iWorld will not take place in 2015, and that the show is going on hiatus. The show saw a remarkable 30 year run that changed the technology industry, innovated in the development of professional communities, provided an important platform for exhibiting and bringing new companies and products to market, and, of course, delivering world renown educational programs.
Given that my involvement with the Apple community has been largely online, Macworld was a great way for me to connect with others face-to-face. This year I was fortunate to lead a panel, and over the years I meet many of you there. For me, that's what Macworld was about - the people.
